Hershey has filed a trademark lawsuit against a Colorado-based medical marijuana company called Tincture Belle, which is known for making edible treats packed with sticky icky!
So what exactly is the issue? Well, Tincture Belle’s weed-filled goodies are pretty much just knock-offs of classic candy bars like Almond Joy and Butterfinger! Except these ones are cleverly named Ganja Joy and Buddafinger!
Oh, and did we mention they’re filled with weed??
While the pot parodies seem to be in good fun, Hershey is NOT laughing, particularly at the packaging which is nearly identical to their iconic goodies! The candy company says they’re not only a clear trademark violation, but they can also be misleading for kiddies who can’t tell the difference and just recognize the wrapper!
The edible goodies can be found at pot shops throughout Colorado, but Hershey is hoping to pull them off the shelves for good soon! So if you’re trying to get your hands on a Hashees so you can go home and listen to some Pink Floyd records, you better act fast!
